The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has brought new options for health care coverage to millions of previously uninsured Americans. While you can still choose not to purchase health insurance, that decision may come at a cost, beginning with the 2014 tax year. Eligible taxpayers who remain without insurance may be required to pay penalties.

Open enrollment for the Affordable Care Act Marketplaces begins November 15. PrimeCare is pleased to announce that it, along with six community partners, has received a federal Navigator grant and a State of Illinois In-Person Counselor grant to provide outreach and enrollment services to uninsured individuals on Chicago’s Northwest side. Last year, our team of trained Navigators reached over 32,000 uninsured residents and successfully enrolled more than 12,000. This year, we expect to greatly increase those numbers.
